Computing

A high-quality computing education equips pupils to use computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world. Computing has deep links with mathematics, science and design and technology, and provides insights into both natural and artificial systems.

Computing is a subject that all students follow throughout years 7 and 8.  They have 1 lesson of Computing per week. Students will study the 3 key areas of Digital Literacy, Information and Communication Technology and Computer Science. At the end of Year 8, students can select to follow a suitable course for their GCSE options and have 3 lessons per week from Year 9 until the end of Year 11 to study this course.

We currently offer Cambridge Nationals in Creative iMedia Level 1/2 Award (OCR) at KS4.
