The fantastic performances from some of our talented students made the evening truly exceptional . Guests to the evening were treated to three drumming performances, several singing acts and a piano performance. A highlight of the evening was the speech given by Grace (Year 8) who gave a speech about 'The Power Of Education', siting experiences that her parents had of education in the Ivory Coast.
Leeds City Academy students and Parents/Carers were fortunate to be joined for the second year by Rashik Parmar MBE, a former Leeds City Academy student who now holds the position as the leader of IBM’s European technical community.
Mr Parmar spoke to students about the importance of resilience and perseverance in pursuit of success. Mr Parmar MBE then awarded the annual prize, that he had kindly donated to the Academy, to Abass in Year 10 for his part in an enterprise project this year.
We look forward to celebrating another fantastic year at Leeds City Academy in the academic year of 2018/19!
