FDM – Computer Coding Workshop

On Wednesday 17th April 2019 selected Year 9 & 10 ICT students took part in a computer programming workshop at the offices of FDM in Leeds.  The students learned about two programming languages, namely Scratch and Python.

Scratch is a visual programming language developed to help simplify the process of creating and programming animations, games, music, interactive stories and more.   The students were given a task and had to decipher how to build upon the basic information in order to create movement, sound and background designs.

Python programming on the other hand is a more formal language, which comprises a set of instructions that produce various kinds of output.

Thank you to FDM for inviting our students into their offices and teaching our students about programming.
