Magic Breakfast visit to LCA
A vital start to a successful school day
Leeds City Academy’s breakfast club received a very special visit from Sue Griggs, who is a representative for the Magic Breakfast charity and was accompanied by Gillian and Leigh from the Bank of America.
As part of the breakfast provision at our Academy, we receive free bagels, juice and cereal for the students from the charity. Our provision enables over 200 students daily to access a healthy breakfast.
For many students, breakfast club is the start of their day and without it, they would not be able to concentrate and succeed in school.
Miss Oliver said: “Daniel in Year 7 has promised to get up in time to come to breakfast club because he loves the bagels and smiles he receives from the staff every morning.
“When representatives from Magic Breakfast and the Bank of America visited LCA, they were impressed by how important the breakfast club is to our students and how much it is used. Other secondary schools have expressed a wish to visit our club in the near future to see how a successful breakfast club runs.”
