Extension and Enrichment

Enrichment at Leeds City Academy

The provision of a world class enrichment programme is a clear vision for Leeds City Academy, and we are determined to develop an increasing number and range of enrichment activities that engage and excite students, enabling them to try something new, develop skills and/or excel outside the classroom.

The introduction of the new Peak Performance enrichment programme has established a thriving programme of extra-curricular provision with opportunities from Lego Robotics to Zumba and Yoga to Debating.

Leadership development is also a key focus both curricular and wider curricular provision. Students may wish to join the school parliament and present manifestos, undertake sports leadership qualifications, successfully complete their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award or contribute to the changing the lives of themselves and others through participation in the Diana Award.
