Our Careers Education, Information and Guidance (CEIAG) Entitlement Offer

Students at Leeds City Academy benefit from an innovative and aspirational careers education information and guidance programme.

We have been awarded the Quality in Careers Standard award which highlights the high quality work taking place within this area.

In Year 10, our students take part in a week of Sector Experience and Employability Days (SEED) this is an aspirational work experience programme whereby students experience a range of workshops, visits and talks from a host of different sectors.

All students receive careers education through the DNA curriculum and 121 careers advice and guidance. We also host three career immersion weeks each year whereby subject areas promote career opportunities within their curriculum, ensuring all students have a broad and aspirational understanding of different career opportunities.

At Leeds City Academy, we run a wide range of Raising Aspirations Projects (RAP) to ensure our students have a variety of opportunities to explore different options once they leave us in Year 11. Through these projects, students are able to explore careers, meet with key industry professionals, take part in aspirational workplace visits and complete their own self-reflection.
