Travel to the Academy

Leeds City Academy is committed to supporting student attendance and will annually review the travel arrangements and travel preferences of students, parents and carers when determining our dedicated school bus arrangements for the upcoming academic year and ensuring our student travel records are concurrent and accurate. 

To obtain this feedback, the academy will issue an electronic travel survey link via Arbor in-app/SMS message before the start of an academic year to all applicable parents/carers, including those of students scheduled to start with us in year 7. This survey will be distributed at the start of the summer holiday period. 

After this survey has closed the results will then be analysed to assess the demand for a specific school bus route, to allocate student places on school buses and update our student records. 

Seats on the bus will be allocated based on several factors such as: 

• A student's proximity to the school. 
• Any unique transportation requirements a student may have. 
• The availability of seats on any existing school bus. 
• Timely submission of travel survey responses. 

This list is not exhaustive, and Leeds City Academy reserves the right to amend its bus allocation, subject to demand, at any time. 

If your travel arrangements change after completing the travel survey, or if you are the parent/carer of a student who is enrolling at the academy during the academic year that wants to utilise an existing school bus service you should contact the school directly for further guidance and support. 

The school bus schedule outlined below is designed to ensure a prompt and timely arrival and departure to, and from, school. Please ensure your child is at the designated pick-up point a few minutes early each school day to avoid delays.
